Ok, so the long awaited (sort of) post wedding post is here. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I'm married now, I still look around when someone calls me Mrs Willoughby. I remember that the day was great, that there were lots of photo's and some minor dramas (all best forgotten since they didn't affect the day in the end). I'm finally used to wearing my wedding ring and the high-heels are in the cupboard and haven't been worn since the day. I'm slowly putting together the DVD of the ceremony/photos/ceremony words. We're both back at work, Mark has recovered from the appendicitis (3 days after the wedding he was in hospital - yeesh, I didn't think I was THAT rough on him :-p). And we're in the planning stage for our honeymoon. And no, I won't say where we're going until we get back :-p This is the online album I made of wedding pics, and I've got more to add to our hard copy album. And that's about it.

Thanks to everyone who was there, and for those who weren't, we know you were there with us in spirit. We love you all.

Ok, so it's been two and a half weeks since the wedding and I still haven't written a follow up to the day. But rest assured that one is coming!

It's 6:30 am, on a saturday morning. I've already been up for 2o minutes and showered, and the sun isn't even up yet. My hairdresser arrives in 30 minutes. And I'm sitting on a computer writing my Blog update because my parents have a REALLY slow dial-up internet connection and I doubt they could load/publish a blog very fast. Well it's the big day, finally, and everything seems to going ok. We set up some things yesterday - the 6m x 3m Gazebo, we picked up the best man from the airport (couldn't have left him there), we set up the tables and delivered the cake at the reception hall. So It's all go. I'll post again in a day or two, let y'all know how it went.

4 more days!!!

Ok, so now I'm getting excited. We took my wedding dress home (carefully shrouded in a dark sheet so Mark couldn't see it) last weekend and everything is coming together. I'm concentrating on the little things I need to remember to pack, I don't want to forget anything! (like my lingerie for the wedding night :-p) Sometimes I don't know whether to be nervous or excited. I think I'll take each day as they come for now, and enjoy the holiday without putting too much pressure on myself to be feeling one thing or another. The event I'm looking forward to most (other than the ceremony) is seeing some friends and family - Nadine, Kyle, Mike, Andrew and Scott.

Well this is the wishing well we'll be having at the reception. We've asked for monetary type gifts since we have everything we need housewares wise (which are the usual type prezzies). My parents' builder made it out of Macracarpa (a native NZ wood) and it'll be a one of a kind from him - he's not going to make another one like it.

On another note, tomorrow is my dress fitting - EEEK! I hope it looks as good as I remember, because it's been quite a few months since I've seen it. And we still need to sort out the music, and get a guest book but everything else is pretty much under control.
No stress yet, but we'll see what happens closer to the day.

We are at approximately 32 days to go until W-Day. And everything is coming together so well. We have floating candles for the tables (Thank you Nadine!) and I had my hair and make-up practices done yesterday - I can't post pics of those, because Mark isn't allowed to see what I'll look like. But depending on who asks (so only people who can't be there on the day are allowed to ask), I can send the pics out to you. We're working on a music list still, and the wedding license is being picked up today. My mother finally has her outfit for the day sorted (after threatening to wear jeans and a t-shirt), now all she needs is better shoes. I'm wearing my high-heels for the day around the house (I look silly with high-heels and shorts on I can tell you!) to get used to walking in them and what they do to my feet (ouch). So really we're just counting down to certain days - dress fitting, hen's night, bachelor party then the big day. About 61 people will be at the reception (including Mark and myself as the bride and groom). To those of you who can't be there, rest assured I wish so very much that you could be. We will be thinking of our many friends on the day.

We are down to less than 7 weeks to go. And all of a sudden we have all these little things that need to be done - like finding flowers for my hair (done!!) and sorting out the music (started) and writing the ceremony (75% done) and sorting out table decorations ad infinitum ad nausem. But it's all fun. The Hen's nite will definitely be on the 16th feb, probably starting around 7pmish. And I found today these neat little bottles of bubble mix, shaped like champers bottles and wedding cakes, so we're going to give them to the guests at the ceremony to blow aroundthe bridal party - should hopefully make some interesting pictures. I'm about to start another list of things to organise, my old one which I thought had most of the things we needed to do on it is sadly out of date and no-where near comprehensive enough. And I came up with the brilliant idea of letting some of our friends who can't make the wedding - Dallas, Rich, JT and Robin, Chris, Jeff and Doug (some very close friends from the States and Canada) pick out some of the songs we will be playing at the reception - I've had some beautiful ones suggested so far. And another of our friends from the State, Charlie has had the honour of sending us our first wedding present, a 1st edition copy of 'The Notebooks Of Lazarus Long' by Robert Heinlein. He forever earns a place as an angel for that. Thank you Charlie!

And that's the updates for now, I'm sure there will be a few more to come tho! And I'm going to start taking pictures of what I can - bridesmaids dress, flowers for my hair etc. so you can get an idea of what we have done so far!
